Christmas is coming and so is the gift making season!

We are so excited to introduce you to Helena Kastanis from Sweet Tiers.  Helena will be joining us this Christmas at Heart of Hall to guide you through a two very special Christmas inspired classes.
In our Traditional Greek Christmas Biscuit Class, you will learn how to make these delicious, moreish biscuits that are traditionally made at Christmas time -  we bet you'll be making these all year 'round!  Perfect with coffee and  even better shared!  The aroma of the festive season will fill the kitchen at Heart of Hall  - cinnamon, orange, walnuts, almonds and buttery vanilla.
Melamakarona - Orange, cinnamon and walnut cookies, soaked in honey syrup. These are the Greek Christmas cookie! Delicious and the perfect for gift giving at Christmas time.
Kourambiethes - Greek butter cookies that are specially made for celebrations like Christmas but we bet you're going to make these all year round!
Buttery, soft, melt in your mouth goodness dusted with pure icing sugar, with a subtle almond crunch!
This is a 3 hour cooking class which includes a glass of sparkling wine and some nibbles.  You will leave with your hands full of delightful Christmas biscuits and a wealth of knowledge to help you produce these traditional gifts.
Helena Kastanis from Sweet Tiers
Helena has been creating edible works of art for over 15 years.  A versatile and award winning artist, her folio is varied - from 3D sculpted cakes to towering wedding cakes, she does it all!  Helena teaches around Australia and has been featured in numerous publications in Australia, the UK and America.
She was awarded 2014 Cake Decorator of the Year by the Australian Cake Decorating Network and was nominated for Teacher of the Year 
at the ACDN Industry Awards in 2018.
Helena has taught many facets of cake decorating from the intricacies of sugar and wafer paper flowers through to watercolour painting and sculpted cakes.  Along with creating beautiful edible creations, she has a passion for teaching and sharing her knowledge with her informative and relaxed classes.
